The World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) and the Italian Wind Energy Association ANEV are pleased to invite papers and presentations for the20th World Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition (WWEC2022), taking place on 28-30 June 2022 in Rimini (Italy). WWEC2022 is hosted in collaboration with Adria Congrex.
The main theme of WWEC2022 is “Collaborating for a Renewable Future” referring to the manifold opportunities in collaboration on regional basis, between countries, on technological basis and on social basis.
Wind and renewable energy experts from Italy, Europe, the Mediterranean region and from the whole world will gather in Rimini to discuss how such a closer geographic, technical, political and social collaboration can help achieve a 100% renewable energy future.
WWEC2022 takes place at a time when governments around the world have committed to become climate neutral in the coming years and decades. This goal can only be achieved with an accelerated deployment rate of renewable energy, and in particular with wind power. Accordingly, all sectors of society need to be mobilised, from governments, citizens and communities, businesses, science and academia, civil society etc.
The official conference language will be English.
Abstracts are invited on the following main topics:
- Wind Technology Advancement and Managing
- Renewables Integration and Storage Systems
- RES and Communities
- Best Practices
Accepted papers will be published in IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (indexed in Scopus database).

Abstracts format:
All abstracts should be written in English, be concise and clearly state results, objectives or key components of the paper – as well as the topic to which it belongs. They should not exceed 500 words and should contain a list of key words. Abstracts should be submitted before 1 February 2022 online on https://wwec2022.org/send-an-abstract/
